Gas Saftety Certificates

Under the gas safety regulations 1994, gas appliances must be checked by a GasSafe registered (formerly Council of Registered Gas Installers - CORGI) qualified engineer to ensure that appliances are properly installed and maintained in a safe condition so as to avoid the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. It is now a legal requirement that any lettings property must have a gas safety certificate completed at least once every 12 months. The certificate must be held for the duration of its validity and one copy must be issues to the tenant.
